Welcome to circle. These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and circle (“we”, “us”, the “app”) and govern your use of the circle app and website. By creating an account or using circle, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use circle.
You must be at least 18 years old to use circle. You may hold only one account, you must provide accurate information, and you are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens under your account. circle is a social app for meeting people worth knowing in your city.
circle has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, or that impersonates others or is fraudulent is not allowed. Users who post such content or who abuse, harass, or endanger others will be removed.
By using circle you agree that you will not, and will not help anyone else:
Every profile in circle can be reported or blocked from the “•••” menu on that profile, and every event and circle can be reported from the “report” link on its page. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive behavior and act on them — typically within 24 hours — by removing content and/or the users responsible. Blocking someone immediately hides you from each other. We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
Circles are run by their hosts, and events are organised by the circle that posts them, not by circle. Hosts are responsible for their circles and events, including that they are safe, legal and as described. Tickets for paid events are paid through Stripe: the host receives the ticket price, and circle charges a service fee that is shown before you pay. Questions about an event, including refunds, go to its host. If something is wrong with an event or a circle, report it or email us.
You keep ownership of the photos and information you add to your profile. You grant circle a limited licence to host and display that content within the app so it can function. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.
You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time from Profile → delete my account inside the app.
circle is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not conduct background checks on users; you are responsible for your own interactions and safety when meeting people. To the fullest extent permitted by law, circle is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or your interactions with other users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of circle after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
